Installation instructions

What are Float Plates?

  • Protect your investment. The stock plastic battery and controller compartments are weak and prone to breakage. Float Plates are engineered for over 3,000 PSI of impact!
  • Expand your bag of tricks. No need to wax that curb, as the Float Plates are self-lubricating. Slides, stalls, and drops all damn day!
  • These float plates have sizes to fit the XR model.
  • Reduces friction on nosedives. Also great for nose and tail slides. Let's see what you can do!

Support your favourite rider by rocking their pro model colours:

Float Life Teams - Black

Wheel Fun Stuff (Kyle Hanson) - Tiffany Blue

Andrew Stroh - Dank Green

Bodhi Harrison - Bodacious Pink

California Wildfire Edition* - Red

Dom Williams - The Purps

FLUX MVMT Collab - Butter Yellow

Wrong screws

The plates I purchased seemed to indicate to me that they would work for either a OW+ or an XR. Although the plates are the right size the screws were too long. A couple of promptly answered emails (well done FL) and this was confirmed. Luckily I have the ability to grind the screws down and all is good now. Seems to me though that there should be in place a process to avoid this. FL did not have shorter screws to send me.

Working out great

Working great so far. Feel much better having them on and protecting the board. Easy to install, once lined up properly. Important not to tighten all screws until they are all in part way.
